Reflex arc – short-cut taken by reflex action

The “short-cut” route taken by the signal for a reflex action, which leaves out the brain.

The reflex arc is a short cut circuit that does not involve the brain

The sun reflects off the ark (reflex arc) and goes straight to the mussel (muscle).

The reflex arc is the redirection of signals straight back to effector muscles to move away from danger, this happens in the spinal cord but does send a message to the brain about what has happened

The reflex arc - the nerve pathway involved in a reflex action.
