Pupil – adjustable hole in centre of eye

The pupil is an aperture, or hole, in the centre of the eye that allows light through to strike the retina. It is actually clear, but looks black because it absorbs light rather than reflecting it.

The pupil is the aperture produced by the iris to direct into the eyes chamber

The pupils thought there might be a hole in their education.
