Metal + acid = salt + hydrogen

When metals react with acids, they produce a salt as well as hydrogen gas.

Think of MASH (Metal + Acid = Salt + Hydrogen).

Think of a seed in a metal band who, to unwind after gigs, loves to mash potato.

(Metal + Acid = Salt + Hydrogen)

Examples

Zinc + sulphuric acid Zinc sulphate + hydrogen
Metal + acid salt + hydrogen

Magnesium hydrochloric acid Magnesium chloride + hydrogen
