Biceps and Triceps

The biceps muscle lies on top of the humerus and is used to bend and curl the arm. The triceps muscle lies underneath the humerus and is used to straighten the arm.Info graphic showing where the bicep and triceps muscles can be found in the arm

B is curly and T is straight. The arm curls when biceps contract and it straightens when triceps contract.

When the bicep is contracted than tricep relaxed the arm is able to lift, if the tricep contracts and the bicep relaxes the arm can straighten
