Dynasty – Series of leaders from the same family
(Pronounced dinn-us-tee)
A dynasty is a series, or succession, of rulers who are all from the same family.
Dynasty is also the period when a country was ruled by such a family: for instance, the Ming dynasty in China lasted for 276 years, from 1368 to 1644.
