Perjury – The crime of telling lies in a court of law

Examples of  perjury in a sentence

Every testimony from the key witness was blatant perjury and resulted in the defendant losing the case. 

Due to his constant perjury in the court room the lawyer was fired and had his license to practice law removed.

She committed perjury in the hope she would be found innocent of her crimes, however she was not only found guilty, but received a longer sentence for her lies in the court room.
