Examples of prefix in a sentence
The addition of a prefix can sometimes completely change the meaning of a word and others can be used to emphasise the meaning.
The prefix “un” is used to transform a word into its opposite meaning, like well and unwell.
“Pro” and “anti” are commonly used in political debates as a prefix to state a position for or against a specific subject.
