Refractory – Stubborn or unmanageable; resisting control
(Pronounced ree-frak-tore-ree)
To remember the definition of the word refractory, use the following mnemonic:
Referring to the factory (refractory) we can see all the people outside stubbornly refusing to go back to work. They are unmanageable.
