Ruminate – Think deeply about something & chew the cud

To think carefully and for a long period. Also means chew up the cud. Bring up food from the stomach and chew it again.

To remember the definition of the word ruminate, use the following mnemonic:

This room I hate (ruminate) because I have to think for long periods.
