Halloween – l'halloween
(Pronounced al-ow-een)
The Halloween pumpkins and moonlight made the Eiffel Tower look spooky.
NOTE: The Eiffel Tower is a French icon, and whenever you see it in one of our images, it means that the word is pronounced the same in both English and French.
Halloween is masculine, but as it begins with a silent "H" its l'Halloween. Imagine the early learner being scared by a ghost on Halloween.
