Mitochondria
Mitochondria (singular = mitochondrion) are the powerhouses of the cell, generating most of the cell’s supply of chemical energy. The chemical energy is called ATP and it is produced during respiration.
Even the prison guards don’t mess with the Mighty Con Trio (mitochondria). They are powerhouses and rest and perspire (respire) while they work out. The guards even let the Mighty Con Trio turn their cell into A TeePee (ATP).
YES, ATP = A TeePee.
NOTE:
Respiration takes place in the cells of all living things. It is the process that turns food into energy to power existing cells and build new ones. As with animals, respiration in plants takes place constantly, in daylight and darkness.
