Semitic – A family of languages

Semitic refers to a family of languages that includes Hebrew, Arabic and Aramaic. It can also refer to the peoples who speak Semitic languages. (Culturally this usually refers to Jewish people)
To remember the definition of the word semitic, use the following mnemonic:
