Stasis – A situation in which there is no change or developments
(Pronounced stay-sis)
To remember the definition of the word stasis, use the following mnemonic:
She still stays with our parents. So my sister's (stasis) living situation has not changed in years.
Examples of stasis in a sentence
She was bored, she felt her life was in stasis.
While it may appear that caterpillars experience stasis while in the cocoon, they are actually busy developing into a butterfly.
