Vestibule – A small entrance room between the outer door and the main hall or building

(Pronounced ves-tih-byool)

Note: The difference between vestibule and porch is that a porch leads to the front door but a vestibule is a room once you have passed through the front door but before the main hallway.

To remember the definition of the word vestibule, use the following mnemonic:
