How to spell bellwether
When you find out that wether is a castrated ram you can relate that to 'weather' having a letter removed (castrated)
In this case, we drop an 'A'. Weather becomes wether.
A wether is a castrated ram, chosen to lead the herd. It wears a bell, thus bellwether.
