Macbeth Act 1

Use the following story as a mnemonic to help remember Macbeth Act 1 seven scenes in order.

Act Bun, Act 1

1. Witches GATHER.

A waitress takes some buns to the witches who have gathered on a heath.

2. They are HEROES.

Superheroes pick up the witches and carry them.

3. Witches PROPHECIES.

Superheroes leave the witches around the crystal ball.

4. Duncan announces SUCCESSION.

Out of the table Duncan arises holding the crystal ball and points to his son.

5. Lady Macbeth reads LETTER.

Macbeth watches this and writes a letter to Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth takes the letter and reads it.

6. King Duncan ARRIVES.

Lady Macbeth hides her letter as King Duncan arrives by her side.

7. Lady Macbeth PERSUADES.

King Duncan goes to bed, Macbeth comes to her side and she tries to persuade him to kill King Duncan.
