Teach Someone - Role Reversal
The best way to learn is to teach.
Some teachers with students who can't remember dates and facts about a historical event, king or queen have learnt to reverse the roles. They get the student to teach them. The teacher acts like they don't know anything and start asking questions like, "Okay, what's this World War one thing, when did it all start?"
Try it.
Why does this work.
1/ When preparing to teach this increases people's motivation to learn the material and improves the students communication ability.
2/ Some studies suggest that older siblings tend to have a higher I.Q. than their younger siblings and this can be attributed to the fact that the older siblings act as tutors.
3/ Teaching someone strengthens our memory pathways. The more you explain a concept, the stronger your grasp becomes.
4/ As Einstein famously said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough."
