Morning – la mañana

(Pronounced mah-nyah-nah)

To remember that morning is pronounced mah-nyah-nah (mañana) in Spanish, use the following mnemonic:

In the morning I get up for the special day when all long-haired men have to donate for man yarn (mañana) day.

Tomorrow I will put a row of man yarn (mañana) out on display because it's a very special day when man yarn (mañana) is produced for the first time from men's hair.

Note: To distinguish – morning must always have 'la' in front of the word (la mañana). Mañana on its own without the 'la' means 'tomorrow'.
