Beta Blocker – A drug that is used to steady nerves by controlling the heart rate
(Pronounced bee-tuh blo-kuh)
The heart can beat a lot slower by blocking her (beta blocker) adrenaline. She could then control and slow down her own heart beat.
Beta blockers are banned in competitive sports for their performance altering effects. Lowering the heart rate can drastically improve performance in sports that involve fine motor-skills and steadiness such as archery.
