One-Rep Max – The maximum amount of weight an individual can lift for a single repetition

After one repetition, it was clear that was the maximum (one-rep max) amount of weight she could lift a single time.
An individual's one-rep max also represents the maximum amount of force they can produce from a single muscle contraction. It is also a method of determining the winner in events such as power lifting and weight lifting competitions and can be used as an upper limit in order to determine the desired effort during exercise (as a percentage of one-rep max).
