Atoms 1

An atom is a single particle made up of protons, neutrons and electrons.

Note 1: A particle is used by chemists to explain a range from individual atoms right up to a grain of sand.

Note 2: The number of protons dictates what element each atom is.

The electronic robot (electrons), the newt (neutrons) and the pea (protons) all carried the atom bomb (electrons, neutrons and protons make up an atom).
