To remember that doctor is pronounced meh-dee-koh (médico) in Spanish, use the following mnemonic:
The doctor thought the medicine was correct (médico), but the patient responded badly.
Médico is masculine, so it's el médico. Imagine an elephant working as a doctor:
NOTE: There's a feminine version of médico - médica (pronounced meh-dee-kah). So if you're talking or writing about a female doctor, put an 'a' at the end instead of an 'o'
