Father – le pére
(Pronounced pehr (like "pair" in English))
To remember that Father is pronounced pehr (pére) in French, use the following mnemonic:
My father is one of a pair – he has an identical twin brother.
Of course, pére is masculine, so it’s le pére. It’s so obvious that pére is masculine that there’s no need for a picture to remind you!
