Disregarded – To be ignored excluded

Who was being disregarded? Jesus has compassion and concern for those disregarded by society which included, lepers, the woman who haemorrhaged, Levi the tax collector, the epileptic boy and the Greek woman's daughter full of evil spirit. 

This rear guard (disregarded) had been ignored. The army sergeant put some people there to protect them.
