(Pronounced reh-hee-ohn)

To remember that region is pronounced reh-hee-ohn (región) in Spanish, use the following mnemonic:

In many a region of Spain, you can see a bull on the hillside. 

Note: The bull is a Spanish icon, and whenever you see it in our images, it means that the word is similar in both English and Spanish. In this case, just remember that the "g" is  pronounced like a hard English "h".
