Naming the Valves
To remember the names of the valves in the heart learn the phrase:
“Tri pulling mi aorta.”
Tri = Tricuspid
Pulling = Pulmonary
Mi = Mitral (pronounced My Tral)
Aorta = Aortic
NOTE:
Tricuspid, pulmonary, mitral, aortic is the order that the blood travels through the heart.
