How to work out powers (Indices/exponents) on a calculator.
First work out an easy power you know
What is `2^2`?
And we know it is `2xx2=4`
Now on a calculator
Always try this easy one first so that you know you are pressing the correct buttons.
Enter 2
Press Xy button
Enter 2
Press =
Answer should be 4.
Now you can go onto more difficult powers.
Example 1
Put in `4^10` on a calculator
(Remember this is `4times4times4........` Ten times)
Enter 4
Press Xy button
Enter 10
Press =
Answer should be `4^10=1,048,576`
