Are guitars similar to pianos?
Guitars are very similar to pianos. Each guitar string has notes in the same order as a piano keyboard but instead of 1 piano you have 6 mini pianos on a guitar.
Below is the layout of the first twelve frets on a guitar.
If you looked in detail at just one string and take all the others away you would find that they would ascend in exactly the same way as a piano. To prove this see each string of a guitar taken individually and compare it to the same area on a piano. We will start with string 1 and carry on through to string 6.
