Voluntary action – deliberate, conscious action
Action initiated in the cerebral cortex of the brain; a deliberate, conscious action such as standing up or walking.
After some thought, the young men raised their arms to volunteer for action (voluntary action). They had deliberated (deliberate) the risks and were fully conscious of what they were doing.
A voluntary action is an action that you initiate yourself through your own thought. The action is under the control of your will.
Examples
Running, walking, eating, jumping.
Jumping is a voluntary action.
