A human diploid cell contains 46 chromosomes, one set of 23 from the mother and another set of 23 from the father. Two sets in all.
Always deploy (diploid) two sets of chrome (two sets of chromosomes) dumbbells; one for you, one for your mate.
Examples
Diploid cells are produced by mitosis. Examples include skin cells, muscle cells and blood cells.
