Passport – el pasaporte
(Pronounced pah-sah-por-tay)
To remember that passport is pronounced pah-sah-por-tay (pasaporte) in Spanish, use the following mnemonic:
He ran out of space to have his passport stamped as they passed through a port a day (pasaporte) on the cruise.
Pasaporte is masculine, so it's el pasaporte. Imagine an elephant trying to get through passport control.
