Dividing Fractions = Think 12

Whenever you see the word fractions think of  12

It is easiest to start with a half to multiply fractions

The fractured (fraction) rock was split in half  (12)

To remember how to calculate fractions always think of a 12 and work it out from there:

To work out a sum think how many halves are in the fraction in question

From this you can use logic and ask yourself how do you get from 12÷12 to equal 1

It must be:  12×21=22=1

But there is an additional help on dividing by a fraction, see the following page, “Dividing fractions think Kentucky Chicken Fried.”
