Standard form and moving decimal places
Moving decimal places to the left or the right and remembering what happens to the power is tricky to remember.
i.e. `1000.0=10times10^2`
`1000.0=10000times10^-1`
Move the decimal place to the right
`-1` to the power
Move the decimal place to the left
`+1` to the power
Or maybe an easier way to remember this is
The Queens right hand woman (Right) was only small (Small) but you wouldn't mess with her.
Right`=`Smaller
Right`=-1`
You will understand more clearly when you try examples in the following sections.
