Complexity Continuum
We know continuum is a scale line between two extreme points.
We know complexity is complicated movements.
So put these together we get a scale line between a basic movement and a complex movement.
Most skills are not totally basic or complex but appear somewhere on a scale between the two. See below for an example of how skills are placed along the complexity continuum.
