Continuum – A series (or range) that shows quality developing from one extreme to another
(Pronounced kuhn-tin-yoo-uhm)
(Note: a continuum can be shown as a line drawn from one extreme to another, and can be anywhere between these two points).
To help remember what continuum means, remember the following mnemonic:
Continue walking with an umbrella (continuum) along the line. The weather goes from one extreme to another.
