Bronch - branches

The trachea branches into the lungs into smaller and smaller air passages from the bronchus to the bronchi to the bronchioles, a bit like a tree.

As the trachea moves in to the lungs it is separated into smaller branches like a tree

The tracks (trachea) lead the air into the branches (bronch-).

The wind pipe (trachea) branches many times until the smallest branches reach the alveoli (see alveoli description below).
