5 Times table

 Five times table - When you multiply a number by five, you just multiply that number by ten and then half the result.

Any number times five is the same as multiplying that number by ten and then halving the result.

 

Example 1

`5times6` is the same as `10times6=60`  then  `60÷2=30`

 

Example 2

`5times7` is the same as `10times7=70`  then  `70÷2=35`

 

Example 3

`5times12` is the same as `10times12=120`  then  `120÷2=60`
