Summary of how to learn the Multiplication table

Know that $3 times 6$ is the same as $6 times 3$

$times 2 =$		Double it

$times 3 =$		Treble it

$times 4 =$		Double it and double the result

$times 5 =$		Multiply by 10 and half it

$times 6 =$		Don't need anything but

		$6xx6=$ see multiply by itself mnemonic $=36$

		$7xx6=6xx7$ which is $6xx6=36$ then $36+6=42$

		$8xx6=$ see mnemonic for this on $6$ times table

$times 7 =$		Don't need anything but

		$7xx7=$ see multiply by itself mnemonic $=49$

		$8xx7$ which is $7xx7=49$ then $49+7=56$

$times 8 =$		Don't need anything but

		$8xx8=$ see multiply by itself mnemonic $=64$

$times 9 =$		Use your hands

$times 10 =$		Just put a zero on the end

$times 11 =$		Repeat the multiplier (up to 9 x 11)

$times 12 =$		Multiply by 10 and add double the number
