Remember past tense – keywords WAS/HAD/DID
The keywords that show a piece is written in past tense include was and had OR the verb itself might show the writing is past-tense. NOTE: past-tense verbs often end in “ed”, e.g. walked; other verbs change their spelling to indicate difference tenses, e.g. bring (present), brought (past); and fly (present), flew (past).
PAST = WAS/HAD or PAST TENSE OF VERB
Remember:
In the past she had a wasp to look after.
Past = had, was OR verb often ends in “ed”.
