Grammar - the rules of English
Grammar is the way the words, phrases and sentences of a language are constructed and arranged.
To remember that grammar means the rules of English:
Grandma (grammar) rules the English (rules of English).
Without clear grammar we cannot be understood properly.
Examples
“Your” and “you’re” have different meanings, but many people write “your” when they mean “you’re”.
“Their”, “there” and “they’re” are often used in the wrong context.
“Let’s eat Grandma” and “Let’s eat, Grandma” have two different meanings
