Concave lens use – Glasses
When people have a weekness in the lens of their eye that causes short-sightedness or myopia (the ability to see objects at short distances but not distant objects), they will need glasses.
To correct this problem they will need a glass lens which is concave.
With an eye which has myopia, the image is formed in front of the retina.
To correct an eye with myopia, a concave lens is used to move the focused image on to the retina (the sensory membrane that lines the back of the eye).
Another great use for concave lenses.
