Langar – The community kitchen of a gurudwara (place of worship) which serves meals to all free of charge, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status or ethnicity

Note: Langar is also the word for a meal served in the community kitchen.

There were many different languages and garments (langar) in the community meal area because anyone who entered could get a free community meal.
