Covalent bonding is:
- The sharing of electrons
- Between non-metals
Simple covalent structures:
- Exist as gases or liquids (at room temperature)
- Have low melting points
- Do not conduct electricity
When you come across simple covalent structures, think of water (a covalent substance).
