Hear word stress
It can be difficult to work out which part of a word is stressed, but here is some help.
1. Stress is always on a vowel (a, e, i, o or u, or some combination of two or more of these).
2. Hum the word or words to work out the pitch of each syllable.
She’s so stressed, she can only say “AEIOU”.
