Foot – one unit of stressed and/or unstressed syllables (or accent pattern)
A foot is one unit/group of stressed and/or unstressed syllables in the rhythm of a line of poetry.
Her feet were killing her with her new silly ball (syllables) shoes. She was stressed. He was unstressed.
