Factor

Factors are what we multiply to get a number. Factoring is taking a number apart.

A factor is a number we use to multiply another number to get a result

The FACTORY (factor) was set up to tear numbers apart.

But being a factory you will notice that it is always being maintained and repaired and there are ladders all over the factory.

Factorising a number means to take it apart, use the ladder technique to do this

The factory (factors) used a lot of ladders.

FACTORS
We take numbers apart using ladders

NOTE:

Factors are NOT fractions

So 2 and 6 are factors of 12. But ½ and 24 ARE NOT a factor of 12.
