Prakriti – matter, or physical material; the belief that all matter is made up of three qualities (tri-guna): darkness, activity and goodness

To remember the meaning of the Hindu term Prakriti, use the following mnemonic:
As they practised, they gritted their teeth (prakriti); it didn't matter that their activity took place in darkness, they just thought about the goodness that would follow when they perfected their night-time delivery skills.
