Anatomy and Anatomic Movement
In order to completely understand the terms that are used in the types of joint/body movement you need to understand the two following terms: anatomy and anatomic.
To understand anatomy, use the following mnemonic:
Anatomy - inside shape or features
(pronounced uh-na-tuh-me)
Only people with a hat on can come with me (anatomy) inside the taxi.
(Note: The reason taxi has been chosen see Anatomy and Taxonomy in Biology).
To understand anatomical use the following mnemonic:
Anatomic - relating to anatomy (the inside shape or features of an organism)
(Pronounced an-uh-tom-ih-kul)
An atomic bomb always (anatomical) has to be defused by looking at the internal features of the bomb.
