Axon – cable that conducts electrical impulses

Axons are the long, thread-like extensions of a neurones (often referred to as nerve fibres). They work like ultra-thin electric cables.

An axon is a long strand like structure of a neurone cell

There was an axe on (axon) stage conducting an electric guitar orchestra. There were cables everywhere.
