Decomposer – Death eater, dead matter eater
Decomposers are organisms such as bacteria and fungi that extract their energy from dead plant and animal matter using biochemical reactions without the need for any internal digestion.
The composer (decomposer) selected what fish he wanted to eat in the restaurant, but he always chose the dead fish no matter what the waiter advised him.
Examples
In forests, dead vegetation such as trees are broken down for nutrients by decomposers like fungi.
Dead animal carcasses are broken down for nutrients by decomposers such as bacteria.
